"Holy Baptism is
the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the
Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments.
Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God;
we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and
made sharers in her mission." (CCC 1213)
Baptism of Infants and young children: Baptisms are celebrated on
selected weekends when the Scripture readings reflect the theme
of water, Baptism or the Holy Spirit. To prepare for their child's
baptism, registered members of the parish complete a baptism application
and attend baptism preparation classes on selected Saturdays throughout
the year.
You may register for the baptism by calling the Parish Office at
660-582-3833
ADULTS: Any adults or children over 7 years of age who are joining
the Church are required to receive all 3 sacraments of Baptism,
Confirmation and Eucharist in one ceremony, normally at the Easter
Vigil, the feast of the dying and rising of Jesus Christ.
Baptism of Older Children over 7 years old and Adults: Baptism may
be arranged through our Catechumenate Program. Please contact the
parish office, 660-582-3833.
