for New Wine:
Foundations for New
Wine is a nine-month formation program for pastoral ministry (28
weekly sessions from September through May), and a basic adult
learning program to develop ministry and leadership, administered
by the Center for Pastoral Life and Ministry of the Diocese of
Kansas City-St. Joseph. Topics covered in this program include
Human Development and Communication, Hebrew Scriptures, Christian
Scriptures, Church, Sacraments and Worship, and Ministry. This
program is prerequisite for the extended lay leadership training
program, New Wine, and for the Diaconate Training Program. For

application process usually begins in December or January for
the following fall.

Parish
Life Summer Institute:
The Parish Life Summer Institute is sponsored by the Diocese of
Kansas City-St. Joseph and the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
This institute is offered every two years at a location in Kansas
City. It features nationally known and local speakers in various
areas of parish ministry and religious formation. The institute
consists of morning keynote sessions and a number of afternoon
and evening courses. For more information contact the parish office

Center
for Pastoral Life and Ministry:
The Center for Pastoral Life and Ministry offers workshops, retreats,
and a variety of services to parishes throughout the year. These
are advertised through a periodic newsletter sent to the parish.
